Swarm of performing artists from Antibodies Collective occupied the streets of Asagaya, Tokyo in May 2016, in a grand attempt to challenge and question the city-planning and development that favors endless facades of franchised businesses over twisted alleys full of life and higher tolerance for diversity, areas of public-domain which we call “kaiwai”. Bodies were deliberately installed on the fringes of public and commercial spaces, as audience wondered around the local “kaiwai” area, discovering and exploring disputed territories surrounding them, encountering not only the performers but themselves as civilians seeking refuge from inner cities that is turning into one big boring shopping mall.
